Interments
Interments may be scheduled between May 1st and November 1st, from Monday to Friday,
from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday interments are subject to additional charges.
There are no interments on Sundays, statutory holidays and civic holidays.
Winter interments may be available provided weather and ground conditions
permit.
Double depth interment may be available if requested at time of first interment
and provided ground conditions are suitable.
Planting and flowerbeds.
Flower beds immediately adjacent to the front of a monument are to be no larger
than 300mm x the length of the foundation. A border of granite or cement must surround
flowerbeds. Wire, plastic and wood borders are not permitted. Be advised the municipality
is not responsible for any cost of repair and maintenance of plants and borders.
Bouquets, artificial flowers and ornaments.
Tribute bouquets, artificial flowers and other ornaments are permitted
provided they are mounted on the headstone or foundation. For the safety of all
visitors and staff, containers and decorations should not be made of glass or other
fragile materials.
Tribute bouquets, artificial flowers and other ornaments can be
placed between May 1st and must be removed prior to November 1st.
Note: For preservation and to prevent damage, loss and
or removal during spring clean up, all bouquets, artificial flowers, ornaments and
tribute arrangements, should not be place at the cemetery before May 1st and should
be removed By November 1st of each year.
Prohibited Planting
Planting of trees, shrubs, bushes, hedges or any alterations to
the landscape is not permitted unless performed by the Cemetery staff.
Upright monuments, Flat and pillow markers
Are to be made from granite. Adornments may be fabricated from a non-degradable
material such as bronze, marble and stainless steel.
